The environment
I have worked in sustainability reporting and carbon accounting. I care whether an ESG number means something or not. Carboncount is my attempt to make one you can check.
LGBTQ+ communities
There is a lot of opinion here and not much data. Socioqueeronomics is my attempt to add some.

Small free tools, built on public data
- carboncount A free carbon footprint calculator. You log something you did, and it shows the CO2e next to the emission factor and its source, so you can see where the number comes from.
- socioqueeronomics Does how welcoming a country is to LGBTQ+ people actually track with how rich it is? I lined the data up, country by country, to find out.
- How Long the News Cares How fast the news stops covering a disaster. For every major flood, storm, fire and earthquake of the past year, it counts the days until coverage fell by half.
- EU Quiet Laws New EU laws, ranked by how little news they got. Every law made by the European Parliament and the Council this year, with a count of the coverage around its signing.
- Different News Views The day's biggest story, and how news outlets in different countries cover it: how much they wrote, which angle they took, and how negative or positive they were.
